In reference to my last post, I have been overruled by my wife, she "suggests" I do the RR before the 68...

On another note, I have finally completely assembled the Cuda. So, for all intents and purposes it is "done"; of course there are the inevitable bugs and changes as well having to run/drive it so the EFI can learn.

To that point, I am trying to determine what I am going to do about insurance for all my project and "toy" cars (70 Challenger, the Cuda, my 52 B3B), here is WA I can get Broad Form insurance just for them which isn't much but it will keep me from getting fined.

Here are some pics.

So, I took the car out for a drive today in an effort to let the EFI learn a little. It started a bit hard but eventually got it going. The car pulls like a freight train  and it seemed to get better as I drove allbeit not all that far (couple miles).

Got it home and took the pictures in the previous post and later was walking my dog down the same road that I had driven, along the way I find one of my chrome grille surrounds  :stomp: and unfortunately it is beyond repair as all of the pins are broken off except one which is bent up into a U. So, when I got back I looked at the other one and notice just how loose it was as well. I bought these used which might be a part of the problem, didn't think there was supposed to be any rubber or other material on the pins so I had just stuck them in there. I removed the remaining one and for the time being will leave them off.

That looks fantastic.  Sorry about the damage.  I don't remember any rubber from my originals either.  However, I purchased new metal clips when I restored the grille.  I'll have to check again as maybe they loosen?

I had new clips so that wasn't the issue. I did notice that the pins were worn, eventually I will order new chrome moldings

:roflsmiley: we all know that they are never really done, just "done for now". My master retirement plan is to finish my 70 RR and 68 Cuda, then go into a state of maintenance, repair and slight mod to all of them one at a time. Point in case, I have been driving my 52 B3B pickup which I never really drove when I "finished" that, I am finding out all sorts of things... runs good, headlights don't work, trans had to be adjusted, etc...

I will get back to this Cuda eventually, but I am really happy with how it turned out.
