    Cuda fender louvers/gills questions

    I have a worn set of fender gills and recently bought a repro set. I noticed that the "insets"  on the repros are painted silver but the originals have a chrome finish albeit worn and somewhat pitted/scratched. Did the originals have chrome on the inset or has the silver paint just wore off my originals?

    I'm not sure what you mean by "inset"?  Do you mean the ribbed portion?  Or do you mean the beveled area around the ribbed portion?

    I'm 98% positive that the ribbed portion is typically painted black, and the beveled portion is painted argent.

    As far as I know, the only part left chrome is the very top bezel.

    I'll see if I can find a good photo...
