I had a serious lead foot as a kid.  My first (real) car was a 1970 Dart, 318 with 276 gears.  Buried the 120mph speedo several times.  Wondered if the car would come back down after hitting a bump!  Next was a '84 GT Mustang, up to 135.  My Ducati Monster was around 140ish, it got hard to focus on the speedo!!  No helmut, thought I would not have any hair left when I slowed down!

been 115 in my dads 67 fastback mustang H.O. 302 5 speed  ( was in 3rd gear at 4900 rpm's)   110 in my moms 06 mini cooper supercharged 6 speed   was also in 3rd gear   and finnaly the most fun was about 100 in my 70 challenger    then i got to thinking if i wreck it i am screwed because at my age all i can afford is liability, so i then slowed her down to about 65      the challenger was by far the most fun

I did 155 on my Aprilia RSV on the ten freeway from LA to Phoenix about 50 miles west of Blythe. Nothing out there except CHP...

I did 95 mph in a little Honda Civic CVCC on a remote Texas highway.  Amazed the car could go that fast and shut it down when the front started feeling light    Pretty stupid, but driving through Texas will do that to you

I was doing 130+ (in a 40 mph zone) in my 1969 Nova SS because the accelerator petal had stuck and I was too inexperienced at the time (1973) to turn off the ignition!  Crashed into a dirt embankment at about 60 mph.  Turned out the accelerator stuck because of a bad motor mount that had been a factory recall.  Lucky to be alive!

This is about as big a pic as the site allows.  I wasn't wearing my seat belt at the time and wound up in the passenger seat after the crash, but only broke my nose!  Notice how every panel on the car took a hit, but there is no broken glass!  The tow truck driver had to cradle the car because the subframe had broke apart.

I know that everyone (including myself) likes to go fast. But BE CAREFUL, last night a local guy crashed his 03 cobra, no one knows how fast he was going but it rolled several times and the word on the street is that the roof was smashed down level with the hood and trunk lid. He died on the way to the hospital and his girlfriend is in the hospital also but i dont know her condition. No one knows what happened, if he just lost it or if he had a blow out or what.  Everyone likes to go fast, but when something like this happens its a painful reminder that it only takes a few seconds for a little fun to turn into a disaster.

I did about 100 mph with my skoda and was a passanger in audi a4 1.8 at 120 mph.

I went about 110 today trying out my new firecore ignition wires.  Man they are fantastic. You can notice a difference in start up and throttle response. Also when I was cruising, the car sounded like a sewing machine just humming right along. I was skeptical of them untill I tried them out. Now I'm sold
