1986 Ramcharger 360 in a 1974 Challenger

Hey guys,

I was out getting a bite to eat and I ran into my mechanic who told me he has a 1986 Ramcharger 150 Se Royal that the owner is not going to repair ( has a blown transmission i beleive) and he told me the 360 block was mine if i wanted it.

I can't seem to find the information about this block i thought would be all over the internet.

What I need to know is will this block work in my car? will it bolt up to the 74 A904, or is this a waste of my time?

it is a bolt in & will bolt onto a 904 , I believe it was the last year for a carberated 360 , 87 should be the roller cam , swirl heads & EFI.

So this is a direct bolt in assuming it is not an EFI unit.

It will require new engine mounts and a new oil pan correct? Could I use the current 318 oil pan that is in the Challenger currently?

 318 has the same right mount but the left mount is slightly different .
The intake off any std LA 360 will fit even if the engine was  EFI .
 You will need a balanced converter of flex plate for the 360 .
 Yes you need a rear sump car oil pan , this is a 360 only item , the 318/340 will not fit
 All of the accessory mounts will work .
