A few thanks...
« on: July 10, 2011 - 04:11:10 pm »
I just wanted to take a moment and make sure I give credit to a few people who made the show what it was this year:

A big thanks to Dave - 4Cruizin - for once again handling the tent and table for us.  It's a considerable expense that he undertakes and we all get to enjoy for the weekend, and Friday would have really sucked without that "roof" over our heads!!

Also a special thanks to....  another Dave!... - Pottstown Cuda - for covering dinner for everyone on Saturday.  That was quite a donation!!  The remaining drink tab averaged out to $8 bucks a person - can't beat that with a stick!!!

And thanks again to EVERYONE who showed up and hung out with us all - it was a blast!

See you guys next year!!

I almost forgot one....

A huge, super-humongous thank you to my WIFE - Mrs. ViperMan

There'd be no way in the world I could do what I do - especially the annual Saturday lunch - without her help.  She's my sous-chef, my transport assistant - my everything.  She might drive a Ford Focus, but she's become one of the biggest car-nuts and CC.C fans I know.  :)

Thanks, dear.  I love ya.

Yes and a special thanks to you and the Wife for all that you did, organizing the hotel, preparing lunch on Saturday,  organizing the Saturday dinner and everything else that you did.   And I can't forget taking me to breakfest with the movie stars on Friday Morning!  That was very cool!

What a hell ride home but we made it.  Took us 9.5+hrs to do a trip that should take like 7.5, traffic and 2 accidents.  Well that and some side roads to break it up.  Saw Judy on 84 East in CT though!

Our ride home was just getting to that boring stage when just ahead we could see the glimmer of "mopar orange" and then there was that low "rumble". Not sure you know, but we could hear your Chally 4 cars back with the windows up and the AC on! It was the best "pick-me-up" seeing you guys on the road, just cruising along, very cool factor. Glad to see you made it home safely.

Thanks Judy, we were going the speed limit while cruising through the downtown highway area there in CT, was a little traffic but not too bad.  What time did You leave Sun?  We left around 11 and stopped for lunch about an hour but got home at 830ish.  Seemed like a longer than usual ride for us.  Hit some bad traffic on 209 near East Stroudsburg.

Hope to see the 71 back on track soon!
