Challenger LED Multi-Function Parking Lights With Video
« on: September 08, 2010 - 09:27:02 AM »
Here's something that I've been working on for a few months and it's finally come together.  LED driving lights for the 70-74 Challenger and 70 Charger.  Please note that these LED arrays can and will cross into other models and makes.  This is all plug and play, no modifications of any kind to the stock items.  Details will be added soon along with a video.  Please feel free to PM me if interested.  Thanks -  Tony

Those look awsome! I always thought those lights should of been driving lights. You plan on making them then selling them? If so how much?

These will be produced - You are looking at the proto's which really aren't.  I'll have better photos and an explanation on the installation soon.

I wouldn't say that I'm good.  I'm just very resourceful.  The LED lighting is a big game.  I looked at many producers of LED products with respect to these driving lights and just happen to have a excellent source for knowledge at Code 3, who makes police signal products to direct me in the proper direction.  The LED's themselves dictate a the price.  Obviously the better the LED the more price, but with the price is a better performing in terms of brightness.  Now with respect to the 70 and 71's - You have how many LED's - I have 94 in my 73, so that installation has to have at least 300 per side.  Yikes - The price is not that bad.  Those are big boards.  Have you checked out ClassicLEDs.com  or Northwestmustang.com.  I swear he has some for the 70 Challenger.

that is so cool!  I'm def. interested.

Now how does it work if the driving lights are on and you want to use the turn signal?  Do the driving lights on that one side turn off and the signal yellow part comes on?

The driving lights are the parking lights.  With the parking / driving lights off, these operate just like a turn signal.  When the driving lights are turned on - first position on the headlight switch - the driving lights are functioning.  When the turn signal is actuated with the driving lights on, the white will turn off and the amber will light and blink (flash).  When the turn signal returns to the neutral or park position the driving lights (white) turns back on.  I'll have a video soon that shows everything.  This is all done on the circuit board and it just plugs into the 1157 socket.
