HXC Cuda Conversion Update - Tail Light & Rear Bumper Pic Added
« on: October 28, 2008 - 06:25:29 PM »
HXC has updated their website with info saying they will be debuting a completed purple Cuda conversion November 4th at SEMA.  At that time they will unveil the prices for the shaker/grille/fender/tail panel conversion kits that you will be able to buy and install yourself.

They have posted a teaser pic of the right rear of the tail panel.  You can see the passenger side tail light and the rear fascia.  The fascia has a bump similar to the one that clears the spring shackle on the original Cuda valence.

I will never be able to recognize a car with Challenger bodylines as a 'Cuda no matter how much stuff they tack on it.
1971 Challenger (OO==== ====OO) getting close!
1970 Challenger (OO########OO) long ways off

As I said in the other post, let's see what it looks like all together.  I wouldn't have thought a billboard stripe on the new Chally would look good, but I like it.  And I definitely like the teaser shots we got of the 71 grille on the new Chally.

Next Tuesday we can all decide for ourselves if a Cuda conversion works.

I like the 71 cuda grille and 71 chally grille on the LX. I remember when the LX chally was still a concept, and they had a split grille on the concept, I liked the the best. So far, I like what I see. It's a great concept, and I'd be really excited to see these cars on the road
I have nothing. go ahead and laugh. but when I get my something, prepare to be awed

I concur.  But I do want to see it.  I mean, its great that someone is doing this stuff.  Mopar guys (tend to) cry to have aftermarket stuff made, but as soon as someone does it, not many show up to buy it.  Just not enough demand most times.  Kinda like the Challenger.  Everybody and their brother wanted one when they saw it, but now some say, eh, I want a Camaro!   :poopoke:

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.
