11.92 @ 121 mph Challenger Hennessey SRT600 Turbo

Well known for its high horsepower and high priced creations, Hennessey Performance has done it again by modifying an already potent SRT8 6.1L Hemi V8 to produce 620 horsepower.

The 620 horsepower comes by way of a turbo upgrade plus a laundry list of parts that include headers, exhaust, fuel upgrades, graphic packages and gauges.

The SRT600 package including the car will set you back $75K.  The result of the high priced turbo upgrade package has been verified by a trip down the quarter mile at 11.9 seconds @ 121mph.

The car sounds great but wow 75K  :faint:

The price is high when you consider that it is close to double the price of the stock car, but (BIG BUT), what other cars are out there with 600+ horsepower for $75K?  :burnout:

So what's the story on that?  I'm not much into the turbo aftermarket and always thought Hennessey was a household name.

It looks nice. I guess 600 hp and a warranty would be a pretty good deal. Id love to turbo my car. Building the headers and pipes would suck tho

So what's the story on that?  I'm not much into the turbo aftermarket and always thought Hennessey was a household name.

A couple of years back there was a thread on a Mopar/Viper site(dont remember which one) about him swapping parts, ruining cars and just plain keeping peoples hoods, engines, all sorts of stuff. He actually responded a bunch of times and mainly accused people of swinging on his nutsack that he was this huge builder and above it all. He responded about as unprofessional as a person could. There were several personal testimonial horror stories about what was done to their cars by different people. No it was not some guy posing as him, it was him. He responded to these same people in a way that made it plain it was him. I always thought of him as a Mopar god but after reading that entire thread I lost any and all respect for that arrogant ass. I would not let him tune my Diamondback bicycle.

...what he said and more...the Viper community wouldn't even let his name be mentioned for a long time....it stirred up bad feelings and hatred everytime it came up....he was not considered very ethical (to say the least)
