Certainly eye catching. Those white letters really grab your attention. Gives it a very "racy" look.

Thanks, it is something I have considered for several months now and finally pulled the trigger on.

At the end of the day, i am a sucker for a muscle car with white letters.

I haven't posted in a few years as I kinda lost the love for my E's once I sold my Cuda. The Challenger had lain fallow once I got the new interior 98% finished so this summer I figured I should put some time in.  :working:

Since it was running like crap, backfiring through the carb, no power and all that, I decided to throw the timing light on it and see what was up and man was the timing mark dancing.  :wow:

New distributer, carb cleaning, plugs and wires and he's running like a champ again.  :woohoo:

Then suddenly a no start situation, had to arc it on the relay, look under and see the NSS fell off. Get it up on the ramps and try to put it back on and all three wires are cracked and the plug itself is hard as a rock.  :villagers:

Pull it up to the top and find the plug and about one inch of the wires are toast. Thinking for a minute, I take a walk around the house to my "Mopar shed" slide the rarely used doors open and right at my feet, I see the transmission from a rolled 74 challenger with 35,000 original miles that I stripped twenty years ago. Look around and see...... A NSS plug still attached! Soft and pliable with wires in perfect condition except two were cut for some reason. I figure what the hell and cut the third, head back up to splice it onto the 70 harness, plug it in and just like that the car is starting with the key again.  :woo:

Gave him a long overdue bath and clean the new but dirty interior and vacuum the carpet.  :poopoke:

Took a quick run around the block so the neighbors can get a look at the ratty A66 clone and put him back in the space.  :burnout:

Next it's new registration (lost it somehow during the interior swap) Hagerty insurance and it'll be making a few trips around town for the first time in 5+ years.  :clapping:

I'm gonna pick up an 18 F8 Challenger T/A in the next few days so I'll post back with a picture of them side by side next weeked

Outstanding course of events. Glad you got it sorted out. F8 T/A.... I have to say I love that combo; I have a 10 PCP RT that I love but looking at the F9 T/As makes me think that I need one

As to what I did with my E bodies (and B body), well I installed some peppermint scent packs in my 70 Challenger to try and keep the mice at bay, I started and moved my Cuda over one bay in my shop so that it was safe from all of the work being done on the 70 Road Runner. I also started up my 52 Dodge B3B PU (Hemi) and let it run for awhile.

Interesting you bring up insurance; I have been looking into this issue myself as I have 3 vintage vehicles that I cannot dive bc I don't have any insurance on them. Here in Washington State we can have Broad form insurance that is essentially liability only, but it is to the individual and not the vehicle. It means I can drive any of my uninsured vehicles and be legal, granted it does not protect or cover the cars themselves but it is what it is. Broad Form is relatively cheap, costing like $38/month but it covers (in my case) 3 cars (or any uninsured car I might happen to drive). I haven't gotten the insurance yet but plan to soon as I want to drive my 52 parts hauler more regularly.

I'm gonna go with haggerty as it's gonna be like 4-500 for the year which aint too bad considering the and garanteed value on the Challenger is 20,000 and the 78 Scout Terra Rallye 9,600, Not bad for a copuple ratty old cars!

You might want to do a little research on the "guaranteed value" deal, not saying it isn't so but there is a member here whose Cuda was totaled and he had Hagertys "agreed value" and as I recall, it was not exactly what he thought. Not saying its bad or anything, just not what everyone things it is. I looked into Hagerty for my Viper and my Challenger and it was too expensive for me at that time as I found similar but cheaper insurance through American Modern Insurance.

I am sure if you search Hagerty on here you will find some information. Again, I am sure Hagerty is fine, just thought you might want to know the whole story.
