Greetings Everyone!
« on: October 12, 2005 - 11:50:16 pm »
This is my first time posting but I have been browsing this site for a little while now and have found it very informative. I am beginning to restore a '73 challenger, which is turning into quite the large project the more I take it apart but the love for these cars will keep me motivated and hopefully I will have a car as nice as the cars on this site.

Mark
Heres a pic of what it looked like when I began to take it apart.

I fixed the pic for ya Redracer!  Welcome to the board. Looks like a great project!  What are your plans for it?  What engine, color and any other mods?

Glad to have you!

Thanks for the welcomes. The '71 in the background is mine also. It was bought from the showroom by my Great Grandma and passed throught the family until my mom got in an accident and wrecked the fender, valence and light bezel. So my dad bought all the parts to fix it and stored it in a garage where it sat for along time and rusted out pretty bad, never to get fixed. There is no trunk left and the frame in the back is barely together. But I did get a set of mint fender and a valence. The car does have a rare feature such as these seat, which I have only seen another car with them in a mopar mag. and they didnt even know how rare they were.
As for the car I'm building Its going to be hemi orange, no vinyl top, and probably just a 318 for now, but well see as I take apart both these motors. The one on the left is a 360  out of '75+ and the 318 is out of my '71. Here is a pic of the '71, its seats and the motors I have to work with.

Looks like you have a good body to start with. Mine was a lot worse than yours. It took me 2 years to get to this shape. And I was proud of it when it was done and it turned a lot of heads.
