Wiring issues
« on: March 25, 2021 - 08:52:26 PM »
Been awhile, so the body of the car is painted, engine is in and running, waiting for the drive shaft to come back from getting resized, rewired the whole car with painless wiring, only thing painless about it was opening the box, what a night mare. So this is where I would like to pick your brains on the only issue I have left, which is, when the left turn signal is on and I apply the brake, turn signal stops and goes solid, getting tired of wiring need help please

It this both the front and back turn signals? The rear turn signals run off the brake circuit essentially interrupting the brake lights. It sound like there is a flasher issue or perhaps a grounding issue; kind of hard to say. Bottom-line is that your flasher is not interrupting the brake light circuit IMO.

Could be a grounding issue. After I painted mine, I fought along time to get electrical things to work. I had to file the paint off around my side lights to ground them. I would put on my blinker and it would shut power off on my radio. Lots of little things.  I am in the process of stripping my car and prepping it for a professional paint job and when i put it back together I will want to do a professional wiring job.  I actually found some shorted out spots and broken connectors on my wiring as I pulled it apart. Im glad I did, because I could have had a fire.
