Bottom picture. I see the kick down rod is attached on one end to the silver spring. The rod appears to be pointing upward and question I have is what is the opposite end connected to? The opposite end not connected?

Exactly right...thought I was seeing things. Throttle linkage is not connected to trans. Don't drive it this way!

If You look at the top picture. it isn't connected to anything, which I don't think is right.
Do you have a full diagram from left to right/ top to bottom of how this thing is supposed to be connected?
I don't want to F this up.

Well you have a Holley carb. You need to do some research, on the net and Holley web site.  The stock components probably will not work. Was it ever hooked up? The linkage all needs to connect together so that when you move the throttle, the linkage to the trans moves as well. Once you get this figured out, then you can adjust it to set your shift points. Picture in the link, but again not a Holley. Check the Holley web site for more info.

Looking back at your pictures (hard to tell with air cleaner on) it appears all you need to do is connect the linkage from the carb to the pivot point on the bracket mounted to the manifold. Again, look at info on the net. Many pictures available. Again was it ever connected and working properly?

Thanks for the photo. Yes, it was corrected "properly" prior to changing the torque converter. My intake and carb sits higher, so I have to figure what changed during the reassembly and go from there.
I did reattach the bracket and did some adjustments and now it comes out of 1st at about 10mph and 2nd at about 24mph. I still want it to shift a bit later however.
Not sure if I should change out the main bracket so it's resembling yours- or continue messing with this one.

So, i'm always confused by the multiple brackets. It the one you pictured for a big block or small block? I've got a big block and 4bbl.
It looks as if either the bracket you pictured is for a different setup?

Hello everyone,

So, I did not provide all the information. I have had a Holly Intake Manifold on this motor, which is taller than the OEM intake. That being said, when the transmission was worked on initially, everything was working.
After the trans work- and subsequently after my mechanic decided to "change out" the top kick-down bracket, I began to have issues. Unfortunately since I began having issues (and did not have the time to address this while the car was in my garage idle), the mechanic "lost" the original bracket I had on the motor.
So, I am faced with two options-
A. Locate a kick-down bracket that is tall enough and has the right angle to enable the linkage to work properly OR-
B. Purchase the cable conversion kit and have that installed and adjusted.

What are your thoughts on this?

I am running 2 Lokar cable systems and they work, I have looked at the Bouchilion Performance system and it looks pretty good as well.

It all comes down to what you want it to look like as both systems will do what is required.
