Windsheild Washer Bottle
« on: March 06, 2019 - 10:32:58 am »
Im looking to buy a new washer bottle for my 70 Cuda, the problem is I don't know if its electic or foot pump. I got the foot pump and the electric bottle with the car. The wire is there for the power. Is there a difference in the switch mine seems to have a little push in when u push on it. Im thinking I need the bottle with the pump . Any suggestions Thanks Dirk

If your wiper switch pushes in and there is a wire out at the bottle it would stand to reason that you have electric washers. Easily checked with an inspection light rigged to the wire in question and grounded, then hit the switch (push in), if it lights up then that is your washer pump wire.

OR, look at the lft frt  interior floor up past the dimmer switch for a round rubber 1/2 ball mounted on a sheet metal stand. That's the pump for non-electrical washers. It'll be pretty obvious I should imagine.

I think he is putting this car back together from boxes or parts (If I remember right) so if it had a foot pump it isn't installed.
