360 Crank Balancing
«

I have a 1974 360 I'm having rebuilt. I heard the 360 is externally balanced by the torque converter. If this is true, will balancing the crankshaft affect the way the engine runs (cause vibration). Do I have my facts right? Thanks

It uses both a weighted harmonic balancer and a weighted flex plate/flywheel. If you have it balanced, take the balancer and flex/flywheel to the guy doing it before he gets into it. You can buy internally balanced cranks for them as well. Hope that helps.
