frame rail body plug for jig/table
« on: November 30, 2017 - 08:26:22 pm »
Any comments on this tool?  I'm looking for a way to attach a frame jig to a few frame body plugs.  Not sure if this or anything similar this is being offered.

Thanks,
Nick

Very interesting idea, I like it.

I am doing some frame work on my 70 Challenger and what I did was level out some long thick beams on jack stands, then place cross beams over them for the car to rest on at the frame measurement spots.

If you're just using them to support the unibody, why not? Based on the quantity and quality of the welding on your example, I wouldn't use them to pull, that's for sure. It's an ingenious set-up.

I found this old pic on another mopar board.  It was years ago.  Does anyone make/sell something like this?
I can use something like this towards the back end of the car.  If not, I'll just weld a nut to a flat stock and thread a bolt thru it into the frame plugin. Checking my options.

Thanks
