Did you ever decide to get the light?
I finally made it home a couple days ago and my light was waiting for me to try out. It is battery powered and comes with a 120v adapter or can be used with a 12v car plug, which makes it versatile. The light does an awesome job of lighting the engine area when strapped to the hood. The thing has spring loaded hooks that are self adjusting to fit several different applications. The hooks are padded to keep from scuffing the paint.
If you are thinking about getting one, Eastwood has special on them for today only. 10% off with free shipping. The ad has the out the door price of $69.99.
That is a deal as, I paid $80 for mine and I thought that was a deal. The unit puts out even light all over the engine bay with no cords getting in the way. It is easy to slid the thing up or down the hood for more direct light where you need it.
