That's sort of a tough one and I've got a similar issue with my restoration.
I don't like the repro glass either. My restoration shop knows someone who can polish glass without getting dips and waves from where the flaws were polished out. The guy charged $50 an hour and it takes long hours. The resto shop showed me a Superbird that the guy polished the glass for. All but the windshield costed $3000 to do!!

I decided I'd go that route, but the guy was too backed up and the shop wouldn't wait so we went resto glass.
I'm not happy with it. I don't have contact info for the polisher.
There was a post on Moparts 2 or 3 months ago where a guy found videos online of a product from Europe he tried, he spent many hours and polishing cloths and compound from this company and was real happy with his results. I'm going to dig that thread up, I recall it was in the restoration section, and may give it a try myself this winter.
