shoulder belts attach point on rollcage
« on: April 24, 2008 - 10:05:12 AM »
I just finished installing my rollcage and the rulebook says the shoulder belts should attach to the crossbar. This seems like a poor place to me. Does anyone have any pics of their attach points?

to be effective it should be slightly below shoulder level

Unless your cross bar is in an odd places, it is ideal.

BTW, the Y type strap belts are no longer SFI approved, so you'll need the twin, bolt in style now too.

I believe it is still legal to wrap the belt around the bar & not even use tabs

you can just slide the belte out of the Buckel to remove the tabs , circle the bar & go back through the buckle to lock tehm
