Congrats on your purchase 67Cuda!  Do you think you will keep the 383 or will you go with a 440?  I am glad your girlfrien is as interested in the car as you are.  Best of luck with it!

Sorry to break you heart bud but that is a small block not a big block and it has an 8 1/4 rear. 383's are big blocks. That could be a 273-318-360-or340. Easy way to tell a big block is the distributor is in the front of the motor. Nick...  :dontknow:

Exactly what someone on the forabodiesonly.com forum told me.  They're thinking a 360 or 340.  It's not the 273 (as stated), so I'm thinking the guy probably put in a 360...  I will not keep that in, April, my dream engine is a 440.  I was looking at Siamese Water Jacket 440 block because I would love to bore and stroke the thing.  Of course the block alone is about $2,100 then there is all the components, so I'm just going to get the engine that's in there running and start saving up.  440 bored and stroked to at least 500+ci then just high performance everything else.  I would love to build an NA beast.

The 360 in a little A body shall be PLENTY of power, for now.

For now... of course. 8) Until I get EVERYTHING else done whatever is in it now will satisfy me.  It'll still beat the girlfriend's sister's 67 Camaro so I'll just keep it for now. ;D Of course I can't leave it at that, though!  I have a whole list of things I want to do... eventually...
