### Wanted: 1971 'Cuda Rolling Chassis ###
« on: April 04, 2007 - 02:57:50 am »

I am wanting to buy a decent/solid 1971 'Cuda without the drivetrain. With or without grille is fine. Must have the majority of the tail panels there. No dash, interior pieces etc is fine. Must have good frame rails and floor/trunk pans.

I can have the car shipped anywhere in the US of A so location isn't a major although my shipper is located in California so would prefer a car from that area. Please let me know what have you.

Email: nz440rt@xtra.co.nz or PM if a member.

Thanks mate, I missed that one or hadn't got to it through searching the 4 corners of the Internet.
Looks decent and the price to me seems quite fair. You wouldn't happen to live close by would you?  :lol2:

Thanks mate, I need all the help I can get. :swaying:

It really depends, if it's a shell only without front fenders, no interior, no drivetrain just a shell I'll probably look at spending up to $3-4K for it. If it has miscellaneous pieces such as grille, good solid fenders, seats etc I'll probably look at around $10-12K absolute maximum, even then I'll have to starve for 3 weeks but it's worth it too me. I'll basically consider anything but will only look at rolling chassis.

NZ, you once wrote this about 71's.  I take it that now you like them more.

Boy racer? That hurt my ears like fingernails on a chalkboard.

But now the CC.com members know.  :villagers:

Just messin with ya.

1970 For me. I find the 71 Cuda to be a little over the top......the "boy racer" of the MoPars , if you please.
I'd still love one, but not before my lime-light AAR thanks.

:lol2: Yeah, more jealousy I guess. Back then I had no chance of getting one.
You'll find other posts where it's triple black 1971 with a crate Hemi as well.

In all honesty it has always been a 70 Challenger R/T and a 71 'Cuda.
Although, any year 'Cuda is nice.

Bump.......

Also, I will consider up to $30K for the right car but for that price it must be running with a non numbers 383 or less and have everything, grill, good fenders etc Shaker or flat hood a bonus all the misc nick-nacks like bezels and what-not. I will only consider Cudas (BS23), not Barracudas. Would ideally like a rolling chassis with no interior.

Thanks,
Carl

If you are going to make a Hemicuda clone why not consider a Barracuda also? Stamp the fenders and you are on your way..... :ylsuper:
1971 Challenger (OO==== ====OO) getting close!
1970 Challenger (OO########OO) long ways off

Thanks but there is still the dash VIN and deep down inside I'll know it's a Barracuda.
Nothing wrong with that but if I'm going to be sinking my hard earned into it it has to be perfect.

This car will be the biggest yet for me and will be for ever, so, it's the same a usual - do it once, do it right.
