Title: Tan Wire In Engine Harness
Post by: DirksCuda on June 03, 2018 - 01:55:58 pm
On my 70 Cuda there is a tan wire with an eyelet on it that comes out of the bottom spot on the plug in at the bulkhead. The harness that runs thecoil and the voltage reg.there is another one that comes out by the 2 coil wires that I think is for the oil pressure gauge. Can anybody tell me where the tan one,it looks tan to me it could be faded connect. I don't see it in the manual diagrams Thanks DirkCuda

if it has an eyelet on it, it is probably either for the coil  or a ground (most if not all of the grounds are black though). I dont have a diagram in front of me but you just need to trace it and see what it connects. I will look later.

It don't go to the coil I got them hooked up. It comes right out of the harness. unless it is a ground I cant see anywhere it will connect Thanks

You are right, I just looked at the schematic. How long is it? Post a picture if you can. The things that take an eyelet are pretty limited so it shouldn't be that hard to figure out. How about oil pressure switch? should be grey but...
