Great build Goody, really nice to be able to bring it to work and let everyone see what you do outside of the office.

You may have said, but were you able to get it to start with just the key, or did you have to use a push button?

Thanks!  :2thumbs: It's been fun bringing it around work, I am the last person some people would expect to build/drive this kind of car.

It's been running quite well, I took a video of the flat-shift in operation.

This engine starts/stops with the factory ignition switch.

Awesome build and car, makes me somewhat reconsider my choice of the stroked 340.. ah I am over it ... lol if I don't like it I can always rip it out and put a 5.7 in it

Thanks! The new engine along with the EFI sure is nice though. The best part is it doesn’t leak a drop!

Oh I am sure.. I am not looking forward to all of the gremlins waiting for me on my car. The engine was built like 5 or 6 years ago (never fired) and I have been working on this car for over 10. Dumping a modern 5.7 in the car will remain an option depending on what happens. I went with efi and roller cam for the reliability, hopefully that works out. All that said, I have no doubts something will be leaking.

Any feedback on your steering system?  You've got the Borgeson box, correct?  Any parts list on those?

I'm in the process of choosing what to do with my 1973 Cudas steering (I use the car as a canyon carver).  I was originally gonna go FirmFeel stage 3 box and fast ratio arms but now I'm starting to lean towards just using a Borgeson box.

Thank you!
Dave

Yes, I have the Borgeson box. I appreciate the lower weight and smaller size. The ratio is good for the street, but I would want a little faster ratio if I was racing it. I have a 1.5:1 Coleman steering quickener I may install one day if I start really autocrossing the car [like I hope to some day].

I have a bit of pump noise, but I think it is because I started with power steering fluid. The pump wanted ATF and the box wanted p/s fluid, I now run ATF and I think I scarred the pump...seemingly irrelevant to the Borgeson box directly though.

I bought:
Ujoint #036425 ($117)
Steering Box #800126 ($566)
Moog Pitman Arm #K7076 ($42)
