Need help from Oklahoma residents
« on: May 01, 2002 - 11:43:23 PM »
I need help traking down the dealearship that my AAR was purchased from.  Trying to track down the history.  The car still has the dealer stcker on the back.  The I can make out it is oklahoma and the dealer as being "Port City"(99% sure) but i can't make out the city.  I have heard the car spent some time near oklahoma city area.  I have tried the chrysler site i some what think this dealership has since closed their doors since this baby was new.  Any help would be appreciated

thanks

Are you sure it's not Ponca City?

i have done some checking and am 100% percent sure its "PORT CITY"   and the
dealer ship is or maybe was, now, in oklahoma.    But the city is completly illegible!
Heminut392 i appreciate it and i wish it was ponca city it would make this easier.
if any one has ever heard of this dealer any info would be appreciated.  the tags
and sheets are missing and i am trying any angle i can.  Since this is a sassy grass
aar one of the more rare colors in a aar.  i can't stand to watch this car die but the
has been tinkered with quite a bit.  Does any one know if galen will check for all the
options placed on the car and you can obtain tags or a sheet that way.  Any info
on any of these subjects would be greatly appreciated guys

thanks

AAR, my atlas doesn't show a Port City, and it lists some pretty small towns. I used to live in S. E. Kansas, and that's why Ponca City came to mind. I've never heard of a Port City Oklahoma, but I'm not an expert on Oklahoma by any means! You might try getting ahold of Oklahoma Dept. of Motor Vehicles and see if they can do a hand search for previous registrations in Oklahoma. Several states will do that for a small fee. Good luck in your search!

thanks for the info

i don't think the name of the town is port city .....however the name of the dealeship was.  I am wondering if it was near some lake or river.  i know there is some good size lakes in ok. however you don't think of a port (where it could be another term used for a certain town) being assotiated with the state of oklahoma.   once again i appreciate the help and a prompt response
thanks
