New in Canada
« on: September 17, 2017 - 11:08:43 AM »
Hey everyone, new guy here in Ontario Canada. Dad and I got our 70 Challenger about 15 years ago and did a bunch of work in the beginning ( rear subframe, quarters, rear inner fenders and all floors). Life seemed to take over ( I got married bought a house and had kids, the car was put in storage when Dad moved and nothing has happened since. Things have levelled out and I am bringing the car home, not sure of the direction this car will take but I am leaning towards an AlterKtion front end, subframe connectors and Torque boxes. We have a 340 and 4 speed with the car so it will likely stay, it appears that the car was originally a 6 cylinder car turned into an RT clone. Some of the work was fixing shoddy previous work, it had poor rear frame repairs and Fiberglass quarters that flapped in the breeze. I fear engine damage as the car was running when we got it but after pulling the engine and dropping the oil pan we found the pickup plugged with about about 1/4 inch of silicone gasket maker debris. Anyway I will post a pic a little later and start a thread once I get rolling.
