Electronic ignition module leak?
« on: August 11, 2017 - 03:01:29 pm »
I have a 73 challenger. I noticed that under the electronic ignition module there is a leak that looks like resin. The engine runs fine.  Has anyone seen this before? Is this anything I need to worry about?  Thanks

Both my OE ECU & V/R lost their insulating gel after sitting several years in dry but otherwise unregulated storage.
However an Orange Box ECU purchased in the mid '80's in the same building held up fine.

I have an old unit sitting on the shelf and the black on back side is sticky. Not sure if it effects it or not though
