Fantastic.  It gets exciting as the paint starts to go back on it.  Good luck.

Cheers mate, painting is definitely  on my mind. Have to slow myself down , 1 step at a time.

Got Cuda back safe and sound, blasting revealed no new holes. They epoxyed the engine bay and underside. I hand sanded the etch inside the cabin and today put epoxy on that. The quarters, roof and trunk will have to wait a couple of weeks. Will carry on blasting parts.

Clean and shiny I like.

Because the car got wet on its trip , I have always wanted to some how clean the weld on the quarter panels. Had an  :thinkerg: and today tried it. Works great  :cooldancing:, only very small loss on media , have got a plastic sheet on the floor to capture what falls out of the can as I move along. Might try using a rubber plunger instead of the can.

Pineapple can works great  :bananasmi, did make a modification , glued a strip of felt around lip of can so I can move over curved surfaces. Have taken 90% of paint off the roof and now will spend a couple of hours blasting it. Time consuming, but I got time and Do it Once Do it Right.

Got holidays last week and this week.

Took 4 hours but got it done, roof blasted and epoxy on.

Today I stripped doors and trunk exteriors , used pineapple can to blast small areas of pitting. Paint tomorrow.

A 3M stripper wheel made light work of the AMD paint on new quarters. Now coated in epoxy white.

What is the plan for the weld seams of the quarter skins to the original quarters?  Bondo?
