225 Harmonic Balancer
« on: September 13, 2017 - 11:07:24 pm »
Does anyone know where I can get a new harmonic balancer for my 1970 225 slant six?  The timing marks are way off. Is there more that one type of balancer based on the type of crankshaft, cast or forged? Thanks

(electrical??     )

When we rebuilt the \6 in our 80 Volare, I sent the damper (harmonic balancer) away to 'Damper Doctor' out in California.  I am very satisfied with the rebuild and cost, though to be 100% transparent, they DID send it back to me the first time with the pulleys put together backwards.  They explained that the tech thought it was for a different year...they took care of it 100%.

Lucky I had taken pictures of the "before" and looked at them before i put it on the engine.

But I would use them again.

They also stock dampers that are already rebuilt.
