Positive Battery Cable Length
« on: July 20, 2017 - 09:19:39 PM »
I picked up a positive battery cable from Vans to save some money.  It seems to be for a B body. Can someone tell me the length of a real one for a 440? I found a proper crimp end for the battery so I can fix the cable the runs to the relay,  but it still seems too long in general.

I've got a replacement cable direct from Chrysler #1-03764166. It fit my small block Challenger perfectly. It's roughly 3'-7 1/4" long over all. I bought a second one to use on my Dart.

Thanks, it seems to be that length, so I will just need to get the new crimp end for the battery terminal and shorten the lead to the starter relay.  Still about $80 cheaper than the "correct" one.

Burdar, "direct from Chrylser" means you bought it from a dealership, or is there a website you used?   I haven't been able to find the correct cable for the SB on my 70 Challenger.

Thanks.

Yes, you can buy it right from your local Dodge dealer. It looks like a stock battery cable...not a parts store replacement. It's not 100% accurate but only a small number of people would know the incorrect details.
