whats it worth? 8.75 489

i found a diff for sale near my house.

it is a 489 case w/ cone style posi w/ 3.23:1
hasnt been in a car in years,unit is full of dust
seller wants $50... opinions?

That is a great deal.  If you don't need it, I would grab it and pass the deal along to somebody here who does. :2cents:

Bare case is worth more than that. You'd be a fool not to snag it.

Gears alone are $200+ new, and a working posi is $400+ new, so if any piece of that setup is still good, then it is a steal.

When I was looking for one they were going for around $5-600 in used condition ready to go.    I ended up getting one for $250 but I had to rebuild it which cost $250 + some parts.  I sold the old one that was wrecked on craigs list for $50
