    Door Alignment

    My DS door seems off. it sits high and its has a gap on the bottom of the door and the gap gets larger as you go from the top down to the bottom on the back side. Any tips on easy door alignment?

    There is no (really) easy way to do it. the door is heavy so having some support under it helps. after that it is trail and error. loosen the bolts just enough to let the hinges move.  Sense it high you need to bring the bottom hinge in...towards the fender.

    ok, i'll use one of my jacks to support the door. loosen the nuts on the door? or the jam? also, I'm sure when I get it right/better, i'll need to realign the door latch and knob. can you think of anything else I should consider?

    First thing to check is if the hinge pins are worn out. Open the door and then see if you can lift the back of it. If you can pick up the back of the door the pins/holes in the hinges are worn out and you will have to deal with that before adjusting anything.

    I re-sleeved the hinges when I restored the car. so, they're good.
