Where are you? Where is the buyer? If you are both in "the States" it should be good thru Paypal.

As for shipping, there are mixed reviews for FedEx and UPS, but if you are shipping out of the country you need to use air-mail thru the USPS.

:iagree:  I don't have Paypal and that's how I paid for all of my Ebay transactions.  Like Wally said, just wait for them to clear, then send the parts.

PayPal is good. If oversized items GREYHOUND bus, believe it or not is the best shipping.

WHAT?  Do you go get them yourself then lug on and off the bus?

Bring the parts to the bus station and they will load them.
I have shipped a few parts half price compared to fedex, usps, and ups.

Lots of decent feedback for greyhound.

Greyhound can ship COUCHES! and lot's of other furniture. I am outfitting my house in retro 1960s and 1970s stuff, and greyhound is the most economical way to go. They drop the item off at your nearest Greyhound stop, and you have to go pick them up - but it is WELL worth it. PLUS I have never, ever had anything damaged by Greyhound. I have virtually hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of worthless furniture thanks to FedEx and UPS, and have yet to get them to pay on a claim. They give you the runaround and the seller the runaround until you finally just give up. I think FedEx and UPS make it a sport to see how much stuff they can destroy and deny you. It almost makes you want to "go postal" on them. Poetic justice.

You never did say if you were selling your parts through Ebay, Craigslist or some other media?? If Ebay, I'd check the buyer's feedback to make sure he had a good rating. If through Craigslist or a newspaper ect. I would only accept a money order, wire transfer or cashier's check. No personal checks. I think shipping has been pretty much covered by others. Most Ebay sellers won't accept personal checks. There has been a rash of scams (this isn't related to Ebay) involving checks drawn on foreign accounts that look legit, have actually cleared the bank and then a week later returned to the bank for insufficient funds and the person it was written to was left holding the bag and out (often) thousands of dollars. That's why I would never accept a personal (or business) check. Cash is always the best if a face to face can be done!!  :money:
