All-purpose photo editor

I've seen so many posts over the years about members trying to post photos, and they get error because photo file is too large...

I use a picture tool called "Irfanview"... it's free and easy to use, re-sizing is super simple, it's free, you can edit, adjust contrast, brightness, color, saturation, add text, and it's free... it also does batch processing, conversion, slide show, and plays video/audio files... Also, it's free... Did I mention it's free?

No, not affiliated in any way... just used it A LOT managing technical writing team doing operator's manuals that had lots of photos for servicing rail equipment.

Good, functional, and easy tools deserve credit... this is one of those...

I must have downloaded irfanview recently on the computer as that is default now.
Good to hear it works well, have not drilled into it much yet.
