Firecore Ready to Run distributor and Rev Limiter Fitech
« on: January 30, 2018 - 02:09:42 PM »
I am currently running a Firecore Ready to Run Distributor on my 440 and wanted to know the options for installing a rev limiter. I spoke to Firecore and they stated a MSD 6al box is not compatible. I am planning on installing the FItech system and noticed there is a fuel rev limiter function built in, which could be a simple fix to my issue. However, will cutting of the fuel at high RPMs cause a lean condition?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Alean mixture burns hot which is why lean can be bad, but for a hot burn to occur the mixture can only be just so lean, after a point it won't support combustion... FiTech cuts the fuel off so there's no combustion...
