DMS 2 post lift
« on: April 07, 2017 - 12:28:03 AM »
Found out today two 2 post lifts will be installed in the work warehouse.
Has anyone used the DMS 2 post 11,000 lb lift and how well does it perform ?

We installed the two lifts today.
Seem very sturdy , need to wire them , add hydraulic fluid and should be ready.

I have never had the luxury of a lift.
Always in the driveway , concrete, asphalt , rocks , the worst was always having to pick up all the tools . I remember a discussion on here abouts  lifts , and forget who said it but " why stand when you can lay on a creeper ". I like that!
Actually would be just rght with cardboard , creeper , chair creeper , two post ,  four post all work depending on the need. Love my cardboard!

Those look fantastic. One thing comes to mind though, I sure hope the floor was engineered for them. I have seen way too many installed on an ordinary "slab" and  the if the weight is not distributed just right, they have a tendency to pull out a chuck of the slab and the results are not pretty.  :2cents:

It was not specifically designed for the lifts but we built the building for ourselves .
The slab specs of 6 " concrete with #4's @16 inch o/c e/w exceed the lift manufacturers recommendations .

The first lift project will probably be my brothers 65 Vette 427 Donovan with brake  issues.
Don't need the lift having problems I'm not ready to be kicking pop cans down the road .

This should help me do the Inline Tube fuel line set on the barracuda.

The specs of your floor sound like they should support the lifts. Most of the failures I have seen are the typical residential grade of a 3 1/2" floor with little or no rebar. A full 6" floor with the bar you show is superior to any residential floor. Now all you have to do is put a car on it and raise it and share the picture here.  :cooldancing:

Electrician almost done wiring lifts, the top bar switches that stop the lift both have broken brackets so have to fab an aluminum bracket to replace the plastic bracket.

We also ordered a 16' Big Ass Fan done in Steeler colors , to cut some of the Texas heat.

16' BAF in Pgh colors installed today, should be almost as good as working in ac, which I never get to do. A breeze and shade is all I need.
