Shaft rocker are way more stable because they cannot deflect or twist , oiling is simpler & they are far stronger , con they are more expensive to make

I'm curious, what type of setup did GM and Ford use on their muslce cars?  Pedestal mount? rocker shaft?

To be a little more accurate Ford & gm used both pedestal & ball/stud , pedestal being slightly better

thats why chebby guys have to sink all the cash into stud girdles, guide plates, etc to get any reliability with high lift cams  MOPARS can run a big cam with no real mods to the rocker gear   not to mention when was the last time you've seen a mopar with a lobe rounded off

thats why chebby stuff is soo cheap
it breaks so often that they need mass production just to keep up
(I luv a site that you can bash chebbys)

some people are just gluttons for punishment
but if we didn't have chebbys
we wouldn't have all the mopars for ourselves
