340 engine

Looking for an estmated value of a 340 that I have seen advertised locally.

This is all I know at this point.

73 block
.040 over
Comp Cam
68 polished and ported X heads
steel valves
hardened seats
flat top pistons
Engine has been rebuilt.

I have left a message to try and get more info.

Any ballpark estimates on value?

If the 340 has been rebuilt and he can prove it,,I would estimate a higher price

If it is a '73 it might have a cast crank which means external balance?   
Might pay to check and also if he has re balanced it.
