JGainesia,

I think the big reason we all like our old loud muscle cars is they are timeless machines.  a honda civic will never be timeless because they have made about a million of them.
Sure some imports are fast. most arent.

when you and your ricer buddies ride around with a big gay wing, coffie can exaust, and stickers all over the car. you look stupid. because you cant do any real engine work. and yes you can do engine work on those cars if you know how.
I have raced ricers before in my cuda. I usually its them who want to race me. they dont realize that those stickers dont acually make their cars go fast.  so they get whooped like you probably did.  and get pissed off come to our site and talk smack.
your car is slow and you think body work makes it faster.
It doesnt

the biggest are the fact that in 30 years how much will that honda be worth? 50 bucks? my cuda when done will be worth around 25 large, not bad for a car that was only around 3K brand new!!!!!

how much did people think their cars (mopars) would be worth today? history will repeat itself again.  that honda will last longer and get 40mpg along with being a very quick , nice looking car.

Well, this issue has already been proven. We don't have to wait for history to play itself out, it already has. Look at the older Harleys and Honda motorcycles. American made stuff just lasts longer and appreciates in value. Also, I don't see anyone building new Honda CB750 engines, but you can build a new 1930's and up Harley engine from parts being made now.

You can buy a crate Hemi from any Mopar dealer. Do you think you'll be able to walk into a Honda dealer and buy a new Honda crate motor 30 years after they quit putting it in a production vehicle? I don't even have to guess on THAT one!

Being in NZ we get the "best" of rice, models only NZ and Japan get - attached are my dim-sums, all Turbos and as you know Subaru's are all made with 4wd - none of them have a show against the Dodge  8)

Japanese car's don't have the capacity to hold power, they just can't, 9 second 1/4's if there lucky if we wanted to run 7 second car's we could  ;) Home made might I add not done be pro shops like the riceys.

318 all steel car's can run 10 second 1/4's thats a baby Mopar, OFF the bottle - NOS? What's that? and all American steel, when asked the driver said he didn't want to get fiberglass this and fiberglass that because he wanted to show the "younger generation" what Muscle  really is enough power to pull a building off it's foundations  8) I'd laugh at even seeing a jappa "trying" to pull that kind of weight with the smallest or biggest engined car LMAO!!!
My Jap car's are "ok" but lag sucks and the power is not on tap, unlike the Dodge - instant power when ever and where ever you want it  ;D

-----how to make a fat ricer-----

-lower it (this is so you have to slow down to drive over speed bumps side ways)
-put light alum rims on to save 5lbs
-add a 10lbs muffler
-add 250lbs of stero $hit
-put $2500 dollars of ground effects on you lowered ride so you car scrape them off, and ding them up (they add weight and hurt gas milage)
-put on a flat black hood with hood pins (that was a 70mopar thing)
-paint it hot pink, lime green or some other bright color (another mopar thing -high impact-)
-add a powered by Honda-toyota-accord-civic- (no $hit)
-add a k&n air filter sticker
-add seat belt powered by honda sticker
-add 1 scank to the passange seat (must have/still sleept with all your "car" buddys)
-add 1 idiot behind the wheel who can't drive a go cart sized vehicle and hits every thing in sight
-oh i forgot at 4 dvd players, 2 tvs, ps2, x box, 5,000 strobe, neon, black lights  (must be at least $15,000 and weigh 50lbs

If you do not follow this formula "your car sucks"

and to top it off,  put some crappy music on the radio at over 120 db  "what I can't hear you"

see.. just what i thought.. alot of you get out of hand and go directly to DRAG RACING as your only agrument. Which without a doubt a mopar would most likely win.

Congrats. You own a drag racing car. Alot of you are missing the points. Anyone live where it snows? It's alot easier driving a front wheel drive car then a 400 hp rear wheel car in the snow. I can go with this topic all year. I probably never should of brought it up. But it pisses me off always reading the forums... " YAH I SMOKED A 120 HP NISSAN SENTRA WITH MY HEMI LAST NIGHT.. YAAAAH MAAAN " ....................................................... Half of you are so ignorant you dont even take in the GOOD points of owning an import. Like I said. I love mopars and I love imports. I was mainly throwing this out to the ignorant musclers.
well JG if you really knew how to read you might notice that most of us here dont hate the cars as much as we hate the preppy im better than you and my daddy has a lot of money so i can buy a really expensive car and put all of this ugly crap all over it people that drive them, and you call us ignorant?!!!!! the more you type the more IGNORANT you sound!!!!!!!!!!! i think its wonderful that you like Mopars too but this is a Mopar board not a ricer board. if you dont like the way some of the messages are here then dont read them and just go to your own board and talk about your rice. another point that you miss is that most of the posts that you like to complain about are about the preppy daddys and mommys boys that i mentioned earlier that try to race some muscle and then get pissed about losing.
YOU MUST BE ONE OF THEM!!!! or it wouldnt piss you off so much.
to finish my b@!#h session you are either only here to piss us odd off or you are one of those mammas boys that i mentioned earlier, well i guess that would be one in the same. if you dont liek what you see dont come back, i stay away from the ricer sites and that is what i think you should do here.  then nobody gets upset  :)

You won't catch me on ANY rice site  ::)

Imports are OOOOOk but it's just they don't do the same things, some might be quick but lag sucks. We talk about drag-racing because as you said yourself there quick in straight lines  ;) That's what these car's were meant to do distroy car's on the strip or street, but you wouldn't see me going hard around track in my Dodge, which brings me to fwd handling, it should be good but I'm no fan of understeer - I like it old fashioned aka Hanging it out or the new term "drifting" takes alot more skill to keep Muscle on the road even at 60mph your not safe drop down a gear you might find yourself spinning up.

I think it's the way you posted your first post - it wasn't an opinion and you had no facts it was just straight out pointed at "hating" Muscle pretty much, Only a few guys down here are old and drive Japs which I like because there not trying to be cool or "tough" there driving how they would of back in high school, for pleasure - like us  8)

Also rice sites would do the same - "Yeah I blew away a 318 Dart in my 2 litre NOS Supra....."
We just don't care about that crap though - we let the road handle that................

Ok Guys/Girls. I could sit here all day coming back at every one of your statements. But it doesn't do any good when the people on the board aren't even smart enough to make valid arguments. Your all just going back over what the first guy said. And it all comes down to this.

Mopars/Muscle cars:

-Drag Fast
-If rebuilt correctly, they can look nice
-You pay $5000 for a car with no engine or tranny, just to spend another $6000(very low end figure) rebuilding it. More then half of the parts come from JUNK YARDS.
-For the people you argued the price factor. I can buy a great condition Honda Civic with 55k miles for under $2000 any day.  A great condition Mopar with 55k miles could easily run the $40,000 mark. When the car, brand new, probably only cost $3000.
-For whoever said "I needed to pay the girl to stand by the car"  See... This is the type of members on this board. Stupid and Ignorant. That is a racing website. She is a MODEL. She is paid to do things like this. Same things as in the Mopar/muscle magazines. You think those girls just happen to get in a skimpy outfit and be hot as hell, then go stand by some old car for no reason? No, they are paid. That comment was just stupid.
-Mopars are only good for dragging and looking mean. Thats it.
-It's more of an accomplishment doing engine work to an import then doing engine work to a mopar. My mom could work on a mopar. Everything is so simple it's rediculous.

For those of you on this board who aren't complete idiots. Thank you for having reasonable and intelligent posts. For the rest of you, I won't keep you busy by replying to my posts that you don't understand nor read correctly in the first place. I'm out. Back to the import boards. Later guys.
