Anyone driving down from New England?
« on: May 08, 2008 - 09:25:03 PM »
Looking for someone to drive/follow down with me? :dunno:  Toying with going for either late Fri or Early Sat and leaving the following night or early Sun morning.  Just throwing it out there to see if there are any one dayers going down.  Or if someone wants to go but don't have a ride.  Keep me company.lol

Man, would love to hang out with you but real busy being Mother's Day and all, besides the "normal" craziness of 3 little kids.

Where are you going if you don't mind me asking?  :clueless:

BTW, though I would tell a local boy a story (Sorry, not to hijack the thread!)  I was going down Arsenalt street in Watertown and saw a car carrier with the back end open down the street.  I quickly pulled over when I saw Hemi Orange paint inside the truck.  I walked over to check it out.  A '71 Demon set up for drag racing from Texas (Had Texas plates so it was street driven!) with , get this, a R-3 340 block stroked out to 454ci!  Each of the primaries on the headers must've been  almost 2" and dumped into 4" collectors, no exhaust after that.  It was LOUD!!!!!!!  A tech from Toyota of Watertown named Steve just had it delivered today, he's on massmopar.com.

You don't know how close to right you are - I worked until 11:00 last night, then back at 4:00 AM.  And I'm still at work now!

Tom, if I could make it work, I would fly to Boston to ride with you if it got me the chance for a ride-and-drive in your car.

Greg,

I was referring to Super Blue being half asleep, not you.   :grinno: I think he forgot what board he was visiting.

Tom,

Are you anywhere near Moparclown, or MyMopar? I wouldn't be surprised if they both came down again this year.

I think the clown is in western Ct.  Not sure on Mymopar.  Just figured I'd throw it out there.  I guess it will be a last minute thing anyways if it's raining then I don't think it will work.  Unless I can get a hood scoop plug or something?LOL

I'm leaving on July 7th for a Family vacation staying at the club hotel.  Staying until the 14th.  Should be a good trip and interesting driving that far in one shot!

Tom :2thumbs:

i nixed the weekend trip idea due to a Loving wife who was willing to deal with this for 3 years in a row.

Her birthday is the same weekend as Carlisle everytime.
