See details...Fits Barracuda 72' and up.

Thanks. Snagged one from PST shortly after I posted. Still learning the ins and outs of this car. Just now digging into it after purchasing this fall.   Would love to upgrade the steering box to the larger size FF but money better spent elsewhere at this point!

I would get the offset UCA bushings
X2! Definitely the way to go unless you are buying $700 hotchkis upper arms instead.

I bought the Moog pitman arm from Rock Auto. I had to send it back twice and replace it with another brand that they carry. When the arm is installed there is a gap between the washer and nut. The gap was about 1/8 of an inch. Second there wasn't a hole for the cotter pin and it came with a regular nut instead of a castle nut. I contacted Rock Auto to ask them if this was a design change or a defect. They contacted Moog. They said it was a defect. The people at Rock Auto are great to work with.

Hey guys, I rebuilt the cuda front end 2 years ago and am about to rebuild the 69 Charger's suspension. I am thinking that most of these part numbers are the same between B Bodies and E Bodies correct? Can I use the same part numbers for: ball joints, upper and lower control arm bushings, bump stops and tie rods?

I have read thru this thread, and one common theme seems to be confusion about what pitman arm to buy. I now find myself with the same issue. I am rebuilding a '72 Challenger, and I want to convert from power to manual steering. I have already sourced a manual steering box from a friend. I understand that my column will be too short, so I have to purchase the adapter. Not so sure on the pitman arm though.

The manual box that I sourced has a part number on it...2267225. I don't know what it came off of originally. I'm hoping someone out there has experience with this specific box, and can shed some light on which pitman arm I need. Also, does it matter if the arm points "up" through the center bar, or "down" through it?
Thanks!

That box is not off an E body, however it may work. From what I can find it is off an early A or B body (like 64ish). You will need to measure the shaft so you can get the correct pitman arm (there are 2 sizes out there). As to your question, I think so long as the idler arm matches the pitman arm you are ok but on a E body the pitman and idler arms bolt down through the center line.

Why are you going from power to manual?

Another resource for you to get some information is call Firm Feel, they are a family business and very personable in addition to loving Mopars. Even if you aren't buying from them they will talk to you.
Current Mopar
70 Challenger RT 440-6 EFI, 73 Cuda 416-6 EFI
05 Hemi Durango, 01 Ram 4x4, 14 Ram 2500 4X4, 10 PCP Challenger 6 spd RT, 01 Viper GTS ACR, 52 B3B w/330 Desoto Hemi, 70 Hemi RR (under const)
Past Mopars
9 x Challengers. AAR Cuda, 4 RR, 2 GTX, 4 Chargers, etc... (too many to list)

Youre at the era where you had a small sector..    1 1/8th is what you need, the larger is the 1 1/4" sector that came 73 on...

Good luck with the idler arm, I'd check that one first. I went through a few of them on a 72 Demon and all of them were made too big to fit, maybe a bad batch  :dunno:
I finally tried one made by Spicer and it fit perfectly.
