71 cuda clone driver - curious yellow
« on: October 31, 2009 - 02:18:11 AM »
This car is an original 1973 340 Barracuda.  It currently has a 318 2 barrel in it, with the original slap stick 727.  New 15" (7's in front, 8's on back) rallies with new BF Goodrich tires.  It has a new gas tank, new shocks, and many other new parts.  It was repainted this spring with PPG Curious Yellow basecoat/clearcoat paint, and it has been color-sanded and buffed.

The new 71' fenders were from Goodmark, the fender louvers are new, the gullwing spoiler is new,the tail panel is new, etc.

The interior is not a show car, like the rest of the car: its a driver.  Rust was patched in the rear quarters, trunk floor, floor, and 2 small spots in roof.

It runs and drives GREAT.  It now has 2 new correct MOPAR  stainless steel 'cuda tips, and 2 new Flowmaster super 44 mufflers.

I'm just looking for a ball-park price; I've had offers, and I'm just curious what would be about right.  Send me a message for more info.

I dont even know how to guess on this car.  Heard of a lot of people doing this type of change over tho.  I'd really need to see more pics of the interior, under the hood and under the body.  Is it still registered as a 73?  It is a BS code car, so it carries some dollar weight. Looks cool, but I would feel uncomfortable owning or buying it. I like it cause it is dressed as a 71.  So is the interior 71 or 73?

But on the other hand I like girls but would never want a tranny :smilielol:

Thats a tough one as far as value goes, looks good in the pics.I was planning on putting my 71 340 Cuda up for grabs, but with this market its tough because I have around $25000 tied up in it without a lick of labor in that $ amount and I feel that if I want to even get a fair price on what I have invested I will have to part it out.

Not that I'm any kind of authority, but I would be looking to get North of 30K for sure.    :2cents:
